Our stop over was in Dubai. There is a huge water feature in the Emirates Lounge at the airport. It is very quiet at 3 o'clock in the morning.
We felt pretty safe on the flight though! The Captain was Richard de Crespigny - he's the pilot who safely landed the A380 which lost an engine in 2010 after leaving Singapore airport. He even did a lap of the plane after we took off, saying hello to everyone and asking them where they were off to!
